Too cool for school..or not...

Its so amazing when you reminisce and look back at your childhood. The things you did, experienced and your funny little quirks as a little kid or even a teenager. I, for one, was fortunate enough to be brought up without any hardships. I mean there were, of course, usual challenges of growing up like the first day of school, making new friends or getting teased about the girl you have a crush on (yes it happened). Nevertheless, all were happy memories as you tend to look back and laugh about these things.

Having said that, I have no recollection whatsoever of my first day at school. I attended this kindergarten just about 2 mins away from home and seriously, I can't remember a single thing about it! Did I even go there? Maybe I hated it so much that my parents just gave up but convinced me and everyone else that I was a student there...*straight face*

My time in primary school shot by like a bullet train ("My time"??..sounds like prison...well maybe for some). I only remembered certain parts of it. One "fond" memory I had was getting scolded by one of the principals for running around the 'tapak perhimpunan' when other students were already queuing up for 'Negaraku'. Yup, I was a bad boy. Funnily enough, it didn't get me girls *Grumbles and throws away 'How to be a bad boy tutorial for dummies'*

I loved high school because I was a late bloomer and it was only then that I got myself involved in sports activities. I was schooling in UK during that time as my dad was transferred there and what an experience it was! I loved every bit of it. Experiencing high school over there made me the sports enthusiast I am today *stands up proudly with chest up high* Ok fine, more so then than now but still! Anyway, I guess they really emphasize on their extra curricular activities over there.

Well there you go. Just minor hints of what my schooling experiences were like. I could, of course, elaborate more but my fingers need rest for tonight.......for more blogging of course! What were YOU thinking?! :P Until then, take care people! :D

"Mondayne"

Its the usual ordinary Monday morning for me as I got up from bed with the greatest of difficulty. Now why can't every Monday be a public holiday? Then we'd have a 3 day weekend! :D Nonetheless, I'm sure from there we'd want to have Tuesday off and demand a 4 day weekend! hahaha. Holidays are never enough.

Talk about high maintenance....

Before you jump into conclusion and stereotypically assume that this post will be about demanding individuals (especially girls :P), it isnt. Its just a random, "creative" mention on maintaining my blog, which I haven't been succesfully doing.

It has been about a zillion months since my last post (sounds familiar doesn't it?) so I guess its only right to continue writing rather than abandon this blog for it to collect digital dust. Having said that, I don't have a single clue what to write about today.

Firsty, Ramadhan Kareem to all Muslims. Hope this month will bring you tons of blessings. Secondly...yeah....that's it I guess :P

Oh! I had a movie night in with a few friends last night. We watched 'Your Highness' and 'Insidious'. 'Your Highness' was hilarious as hell! Couldn't remember the last time I laughed so much (my friends would know this is not true). Anyways, the follow up movie was a definite anti-climax! T'was brilliantly freaky! I loved every bit of it even though it scared the living shnitzels out of me...mmm..shnitzels *Homer tone*...sorry but this is what fasting does to me..and I'm sure everyone else too.

Anyway, ishaboi* Fariq signing off for now. Laters.

*Ishaboi - refers to what Akon would always say in his raps (no I'm not a fan but its very hard to miss this when you do bump into his songs. Translated as 'Its your boy'. Yes..interesting right? *straight face*

When The Great Slipper Thief sulks...

Our friend, Amin, sulked because we apparently forgot to include him in the invitation list for Bayie's birthday 'egg and deflouration'. Dude, we're extremely sorry but I couldn't do anything more on my part as the organiser was Tasha. So blame her! :P

So to make it up, I told Amin I'd remind him when we make plans to celebrate MY birthday (without eggs and flour of course). Anyway, to sum it up, I just thought I'd upload the print screen of my chat with The Great Slipper Thief (Title taken directly from Amin's YM! ID so please refer to that if you're wondering). Have a great Sunday people!

Surprise surprise!!!

We celebrated Bayie's 25th birthday last night and I think we had more fun than he did..like seriously. Well of course, who would actually like being on the receiving end of a flour and egg bombardment. Yup, Bayie got 'de-floured' by all of us...(Ey ey ey...DE-FLOURED?? Get it?? As in de-flowered?)....ok moving on. Anyway, the poor guy had no idea because everything was orchestrated by his very own fiance, Tasha, who is like THE most innocent and lovable person there is (your welcome Tasha).

The plan was to basically ambush Bayie and actually celebrate his birthday afterwards. Then again, 'egging and flouring' someone on their birthday has become a customary celebration. I guess that way everyone gets to have fun. Lets take a look at the history of birthday celebrations...

I'm, of course, kidding. I'll take you through the history in another post. Back to the topic. Tasha decided that there is no better place to have the surprise attack than at an open parking lot outside Rasta, where there's a dead end further downhill. Its an ideal location to have your muck abouts and what-nots.

Since the dead end is pretty much a 'no man's land', there had to be a way to convince Bayie to take a little stroll there so they came with an extremely convincing plot. It involved Fiza and her clumsy car accident-prone quirks (sorry Fiza, nanti I'll treat you). She had to pretend that her car was stuck in a pothole (yes its believable because its Fiza) and me, Bayie and Zamill were to come to her aid. There you go, a simple plot that required a simple execution and what an execution it was.

Minutes after the plot initiation, Zamil already found himself walking towards the end-zone with bayie. Seconds after, Bayie (not realising that Zamill had already stopped half-way) was covered in egg and flour from head to toe. They didn't even give him a chance. Nabil (Tasha's brother) practically went all kamikaze on him. It was hilarious. A few more funny incidents occured after that. Lets see, Karrot, after proper 'yolking' up Bayie, stumbled as he tried to run away from the vengeful frenchman. Bayie got his own back with Tasha...and everyone else.

So yeah, by the end of the night everyone found themselves drenched in chocolate goo. Bayie went all 'Die hard: With a Vengeance' on us and shared his birthday cake by smudging it all over our faces (I still remember the whiff of whipped cream mixed with banana and chocolate...erghh). Anyway, the entire event topped off the day. I had fun and I'm sure everyone else did. Bayie, if you're reading this today, Happy birthday once more and have a blast!

Some people just can't sit still...Fiza.
