These days, getting through the week is as hard as staying awake after a heavy nasi lemak meal. I constantly have to drag myself to work and it feels heavier each day (not because of the nasi lemak!). Where does one seek motivation from? Not a single clue.
Embarrassingly enough though, I recently found motivation to work in this position after watching "From Paris with Love". It's about a young employee (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), who is a special aid to the US Ambassador and how he gets partnered up with an American spy (John Travolta) to stop a terrorist attack in the city. In case I haven't mentioned in my COUNTLESS posts before, I'm a PA to the CEO of a fairly well known conglomerate (hold the applause please). So I'm sure you can figure out where the similarity lies between me and Jonathan Rhys Meyers' character. I know what you're thinking by now, "Damn this guy's full of it"...but yes I AM trying very hard to keep a straight face.
Note: For those cynics out there, please allow my imagination to roam free. It is MY blog after all.
Besides fantasizing about how my job relates to a Hollywood blockbuster storyline, I can't think of any other form of motivation that can have me sing 'What a wonderful world' every Monday morning. Then again, there are minor perks of course. I've been given a company blackberry, car and petrol card so it's not all bad *forced grin*. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to jump off a building...
